Thanks for the email and interest in our project cars. There will always be a state concern when buying anything like a project and even more when you are not able to see it in person. But just so we are getting off on the write foot let me tell you what our projects are not.
Our projects are not flawless or free from any imperfections, exterior or interior. Our projects will never be sold as a running and driving. Our projects can not be considered road safe for any distance with out proper mechanical inspection prior. Our projects are just that, “projects” Some thing for our customer to take a part and restoring them self’s at there pace and to there requirements. We supply you with a great starting point on what will be your new classic car/truck. In some cases a donor car for your already started build. When we state a car/truck is running we only intend to inform you that the motors turn over. When new stock comes in and there is a motor we simply pour gas down the carb to engage and start. If successfully and no excessive noise is made then its a runner!
At no point do we warranty or guarantee the runner to be low mile, safe, reliable as is (unless noted in description of the car) on any project. We also inform customers when arranging transportation to arrange as an “inopp” regardless of running state. The reason for this is when transporting a vehicle most company’s consider a vehicle inopp if the car is not a perfect running car that can be turn keyed and stay running on its own.
Know this is not said to discourage, as we have sent many “non running cars” to customers that will just a good tune up, flushed system that in ease turned it into a running car/truck.
Our intentions are simply to inform our customers just as seen on out tv show Desert Car Kings that we are a classic car E.R.
A project will come of the street, we may do a little patching and sticking up to get it breathing again, so the owner can take it home and getting it back a healthier state one car at a time.
